Feedback Bubble guide

Where should a feedback button go on a website?

Choose a feedback button position that remains discoverable without covering chat, cookie, navigation or accessibility controls.

Bottom-right is the conventional starting point, but the correct position is the clear corner in your actual interface. Placement should be tested across mobile, logged-in pages and other floating controls.

Start with the familiar corner

Use bottom-right when it is free. Visitors already associate that position with help and communication controls, which reduces the need to explain the button.

Avoid interface collisions

Cookie controls, chat launchers, accessibility menus, mobile navigation and browser safe areas can occupy the same space.

  • Test at narrow viewport widths
  • Leave comfortable spacing from screen edges
  • Check the open state, not only the launcher
  • Test keyboard focus and zoom

Keep placement consistent

Once customers learn where feedback lives, avoid moving it between routes. A consistent control builds familiarity and makes reporting feel dependable.
